  • Last Director’s Note Before the Official Launch

    Hello, this is Director Lee Jong-joo.

    It seems that there are about 30 hours left until the official launch.

    This will likely be the last Director’s Note before the launch (but that doesn't mean I won’t write again after the release!).

    Since tomorrow is expected to be even busier, I’m writing this now, even though it’s early in the morning.


    First, let’s talk about hero experience points.

    Looking at the data from the soft launch, we noticed that in the early stages of the game, when players acquire new heroes, they often face a situation where they can’t switch to the new hero easily due to a lack of experience points. This could lead to dissatisfaction during the initial gameplay and hinder player retention, so we plan to address this issue.

    > The existing growth reset items will be repurposed for this use.

    During the soft launch, the growth reset item was designed to reset level, skill upgrades, and evolution, while returning the resources used.

    The original intention was to have this feature available when necessary, during game operation, but it’s not yet obtainable.

    We will redevelop this feature and make it available when it’s needed.


    As mentioned during the broadcast, as players continue to play, experience farming will gradually become easier.

    While the game design intended for players to raise various heroes and use them in different content, we initially wanted to avoid providing too many growth reset items. However, we now believe that some flexibility should be allowed in the early stages, so we’ve decided to modify and provide this feature.


    Differences Between the Soft Launch and the Official Launch

    The purpose of the soft launch was to assess stability, identify incorrect data, and check various metrics before the official launch.

    This was done to ensure a stable and long-term service structure for the official launch.


    Please keep in mind that certain aspects from the soft launch will change in the official release.

    I can’t go over all the changes here, but I’ll highlight some key points that might affect you early on.


    The performance of the heroes Pure White Gerd and Ascendant Mile from the Legend of Heroes: GagharvTrilogy was found to be excessively high, so their balance will be adjusted in the official release.

    Even just acquiringone copy of them, it was found that they could make other heroes seem irrelevant, so we’ve had to make unavoidable adjustments.


    While it’s true that having overpowered heroes in a CCG RPG can be fun in certain situations, the enjoyment of using a variety of heroes and exploring different possibilities is even more important.

    We ask for your understanding on this matter. We promise to keep a close eye on these issues in the future.


    After the official launch, we will strive to avoid making changes that cause inconvenience to players, such as adjustments to hero balance or reductions in rewards.

    Rest assured, we won’t arbitrarily make changes to the game in a way that would negatively impact your experience.

    We understand that it’s not right to carelessly modify things that have already become valuable to you.


    Today’s note is somewhat heavy, and I feel a weight on my heart, but we will do our best to ensure smooth service moving forward.
