    Hello, this is Director Lee Jong-joo.

    Over the past few weeks, our focus has been entirely on preparing for the 1st Anniversary.

    Because of that, I haven’t had the chance to write a dev note, and I hope you can understand.

    With that said, let’s dive right into the exciting content we’ve prepared.




    What's coming for the 1st Anniversary

    The 1st Anniversary Pre-Event began last week, and this week marks the start of the “Adventure Drop” Event.

    On the anniversary day itself, we’ll be launching a variety of events—each offering rewards on a scale worthy of the celebration.

    Among them is the long-awaited story event, starring McVein, one of the main characters from A Cagesong of the Ocean.

    This story will unfold from his perspective, and along the way, a brand-new character will make their debut. We can’t wait for you to meet them.

    Alongside the story event, you can look forward to the “Mission Complete” event, the “Alphabet Collecting” event from our Half-Anniversary,  and many more activities to enjoy.

    New System "Level Breakthrough" 

    It’s been about 10 months since the maximum level was raised to 70.

    Since then, many adventurers have reached level 70 with their heroes and explored the various growth systems the game has to offer.

    Aside from the Awakening Equipment System, most growth paths are now nearly complete.


    However, levelling progress itself has felt a bit stagnant.

    While simply extending the level cap is an option, we’ve held off for a reason:

    the higher a hero’s level, the more time and resources it takes to progress—often increasing exponentially.


    That’s why we’re introducing the Level Breakthrough system, designed to breathe new life into progression while giving you more ways to experience growth beyond the current cap.


    Especially in the current game structure, where multiple heroes must be operated together, expanding the level cap inevitably leads to an expansion of fatigue. Above all, levelling up is the most intuitive and powerful way to feel a sense of growth.


    However, if that sense of growth is tied only to repetitive “individual progression,” it can eventually become a source of burden instead.


    After much consideration, we have decided on a new direction:

    A new level growth system is applied not to each individual hero, but to the account.

    This is the new system we’re introducing—Level Breakthrough.



    The system

    Level Breakthrough is not complicated.

    Simply put, it's a system that applies a 'shared level' to heroes who have reached level 70. 

    When you grow through the Level Breakthrough system, your breakthrough level increases, and all heroes who meet the requirements will automatically have it applied. 


    Requirements as follows:

    - Only heroes who have reached level 70 will benefit from the Level Breakthrough effect.

    - Heroes already at level 70 → Automatically raised to the account's breakthrough level.

    - Heroes below level 69 → Maintain their current level.



    Limit Break

    As you progress through Level Breakthrough, there will be certain points where a Limit Break is required.


    Example:

    - Level 70 → 74:  Normal Growth

    - Upon reaching Level 74: Limit Break required

    - After completing Limit Break: Levelling resumes from 75 onward


    The Limit Break consists of stages from 1 to N.

    Each stage increases the maximum breakthrough level cap and also grants a bonus that provides special stat enhancements.

    Once you complete the final Limit Break stage, you'll be able to move on to the next growth tier.

    We encourage you to take advantage of Level Breakthrough to make your heroes even stronger, preparing them for the great threats to come.




    About a World Boss

    Lastly, I'd like to share an update on the World Boss content that so many of you have been waiting for.

    The World Boss will be an entirely new form of battle, unlike anything else we've had before.


    It will be the game's first 12-hero simultaneous battle content, with a structure different from both existing Threats of Gagharv or Guild Raid.

    Instead of running separate battles for Attack Squads 1 and 2, as in Guild Raid, 12 heroes will fight together on a single battlefield.

    To make this possible, we are extensively redesigning everything ─ from the battle rules to the UI presentation and the strategy structure.


    For example, the synergies from all 12 heroes will be combined, allowing for a variety of synergy setups. Internally, we're also reviewing possibilities for more than 7 types of synergies to be utilised. 


    At first, this content was planned to resemble the existing Threats of Gagharv or Guild Raid in a strategy-focused format. 

    However, we questioned whether that approach would truly offer adventurers a new experience.


    As a result, we decided to pursue an entirely different direction ─ delivering a battle with an experience unlike anything before.

    Because of this shift, it has become difficult to release the content in time for the 1st Anniversary, as we originally planned.


    We are currently focusing our efforts on development, but the schedule has been delayed compared to the initial plan.

    We ask for your understanding on this matter. 


    Although the delay is unfortunate, we will use the extra time to bring you a new kind of fun unlike anything in the past. 


     In the World Boss lore, Wave of Raual, an explosive mass of Harmful Frequencies that threatens the world of Gagharv, begins to consume certain targets.

    If such corruption were to overtake entities far more dangerous than Karnikos, it could bring about an enormous threat to the world. 


    All adventurers across all servers will need to join forces against this common threat to protect the world.


    The World Boss will be a battlefield where everyone stands together. It's not just a bigger piece of content ─ it's something we've been carefully crafting to deliver fresh simulation both in terms of systems and combat feel.


    We sincerely apologise for not being able to deliver it by the 1st Anniversary as planned. 

    However, we will refine and polish it further so that, when it arrives, it will provide adventurers with a truly satisfying experience.




    Closing Thoughts

    A full year has already passed. We have come this far thanks to you.

    I sincerely appreciate every one of our adventurers for your constant support.


    We will organise the remaining details and return to greet you on the 1st Anniversary.
