It feels like the holiday just started, but today is already the last day.
My original plan was to write this post yesterday, but due to health reasons, it's a little late.
I apologize.
Today, I'd like to talk about the major updates that will be implemented in September’s patch and early October’s patch.
Currently, the content we’ve prepared is being consumed at a faster rate than we anticipated. Although we had some idea of how fast it would go before release, the pace has far exceeded our expectations.
There are many tasks we need to address, such as content supply, system improvements, balance adjustments, convenience improvements, and story enhancements, but we will work through them step by step.
Since our launch, we’ve carried out two maintenance updates. I’m not sure how you feel, but more has been patched than you might expect. We plan to maintain this pace while addressing the aforementioned issues, so I appreciate your patience.
The key updates planned for September are as follows:
- Balance Patch 1 (Transcendent Mile, Captain Thomas, Elenoa)
- Improvements to Transcendence effects
- Addition of Levels 11-13 for the Sanctuary of the Water Tribe
- Addition of Levels 11-13 for the Trials of Validation
- Added ranking rewards for the Threat of Gagharv
- Guild Raid Improvement Phase 1
- Addition of a Soul Stone Store
I'll skip over the previously mentioned aspects and focus on the new content.
Sanctuary of the Water Tribe Levels 11-13
Starting from level 11, the first clear will reward players with Primal Ether. The newly added levels total three, and with future additions, the Primal Ether will be set as the first clear reward.
Trials of Validation Levels 11-13
Three additional levels are being added to farm potential growth materials.
Threat of Gagharv Ranking Rewards
In addition to the existing achievement and seasonal rewards, ranking rewards will be added to provide a differentiation for top players and motivate them further.
Addition of a Soul Stone Store
After completing transcendence, you will be able to exchange accumulated soul stones in the dedicated shop for other items. The list of available items will be announced later.
Guild Raid Improvements
Guild Raid is scheduled for improvement, though I can't guarantee all changes will be made by September. (We'll discuss the details with the development team tomorrow.)
However, I can explain the direction of the improvements:
Currently, players can only form one party to gain points, but we plan to allow two parties to maximize the use of various heroes and earn additional points.
Additionally, when parties are expanded to six members in the future, higher scores will be obtainable, leading to better rewards. We also plan to add a personal guild score ranking in the Hall of Fame.
Early October Update Details
- New "Very Hard" difficulty added
- Balance Patch 2 (Palman, Madram, Muse)
- Hall of Heroes improvements
- Expansion of Infinite Abyss
New "Very Hard" Difficulty
Very Hard Difficult for the episodes "A Tear of Vermillion" and "A Cagesong of the Ocean" will be added. In this difficulty, you can acquire the previously locked 'shoes' item slot. As the "Very Hard" difficulty is added, certain content will allow parties to expand from five to six members through the adventurer skill "Reinforcement." This will enable new combinations, synergies, and the use of various heroes. Starting from specific chapters, monster balance will be adjusted for six-member parties.
Balance Patch 2 (Palman, Madram, Muse)
We will rebalance Palman, Madram, and Muse to match their intended concepts, as their party adoption rates are currently low. Although balance patches are always approached with caution, we plan to continuously adjust them throughout the game's service period.
Hall of Heroes Improvements
It seems that the score system in the Hall of Heroes is not working as we intended. We will adjust the points gained from victories and reduce the points lost in defeats, making it easier to climb the ranks and receive higher-grade rewards periodically. Additionally, when the season ends, players who reach a certain rank will be rewarded with an exclusive Hall of Heroes costume, starting this season. We'll reveal the costume images in a future Director's Note.
Infinite Abyss Expansion
The floors of Gagharv Abyss, Destiny Abyss, Eternal Abyss, and Sea Abyss will all be expanded. From certain floors upward, the balance will be adjusted for six-member parties. We’re also thinking of rewarding players who reached the 200th floor of Gagharv Abyss to be a Legend of Gagharv Hero Selection Ticket.
Today’s post mainly focused on content additions and improvements. We've noted the need for better sources of rank-up and evolution materials like Aether, and we are also aware that paying users are feeling a sense of loss compared to non-paying users. We have many issues to resolve, and as mentioned, we will tackle them step by step.
Regarding the rank-up, evolution, and potential materials that heroes require, I plan to meet with the planning team tomorrow to explore solutions.
Additionally, we are preparing for scenarios where players consume content faster than anticipated. When details are concrete, I'll discuss them next time (keywords: stamina consumption content, ways to obtain more red garnet.)
