Hello, this is Director Lee Jong-joo.
Here are the balance adjustment details for Muse, the first hero in the second round of balance changes.
Let’s get right into it.
Muse
Potential
To compensate for Muse’s defensive shortcomings as a melee damage dealer, the following changes have been made:
Skill
To allow Muse to fight from a more advantageous position, the range of her basic attack has been adjusted, and the knockback effect has been modified to match the new range.
As the increased range reduces the mana recovery from receiving hits, the mana cost of the main skill has been reduced accordingly.
Muse's passive skill, which was previously considered underutilized, has been reworked to help her function more effectively as a melee sub-damage dealer:
Transcendence
The transcendence level 3 effect will be enhanced to allow Muse to deal more critical damage to enemies pulled in by her sub-skill.
The effect of Transcendence level 6 has been changed to strengthen the newly adjusted passive skill.
Origin Weapon
Due to the increased damage output from Muse’s newly modified passive skill, the health recovery from her origin weapon has been reduced.
Additionally, as the previous defense reduction debuff on the origin weapon had become less practical, it has been modified to apply a defense reduction debuff when the main skill hits:
Comment
Muse was meant to be a hero with decent area-of-effect and debuff skills, as well as a passive skill designed for survival. However, her practical effectiveness in maintaining these concepts was lacking.
These balance adjustments aim to refine Muse’s character concept, making her more clearly useful in her intended role.
After the changes, Muse's sustainability in close-range combat has been greatly improved through her passive skill. Additionally, her defense reduction (stackable) will become more effective in content with high defense requirements.
We also hope that the sub-skill, which previously failed to shine due to Muse’s lack of sustainability and survivability, will now prove useful in both PvE and PvP scenarios.
The next hero for the balance patch, as mentioned previously, is Palman.
Until next time.
Thank you.
